Skid steers are very important machines on the work site commonly used to load trucks, move materials or used to spread and level and with the right attachment, you can use it to excavate, sweep the ground.

skid steer are fast versatile machine on the site with a few safety features which include a pull down bar which locks in front of the operator incase of an incident a bobcat operator wont be ejected out of the machine.
Incase of machine roller over the back of the machine window is an emergency exit
Before you start your machine everyday you should a perform a walk around inspection of the machine.
You a pre-inspection of the machine looking for damage, wear, and leaks.
You start checking the machine from the ground to engine compartment. Some of the things you going to check are the bucket and the ground gauging tool. You want make sure the cutting edge is in good condition such that it has not worn to the base edge yet. You should also make sure that bolts and nuts on the bucket are not loose or missing such the cutting edge does not come off causing unnecessary wear.
You need take a close look at the bucket linkage, you have to make sure that all the grease sats are there. Yo have to make sure that there is neither binding pins nor big accumulation of dirt and material within the linkage.
As continue walking around the machine, you going to look at the tyres, you have to make that the tire are not inflated and the wheel lugs are in place. You have to make sure you don’t have to much wear on the tyre that handle the performance of the machine so you have to look at the treads and sides of tyres to make sure there are no unsafe conditions existing like cuts and big scrips.
You have to note of the sides or below looking for leaks and make sure that the safety equipments are in place and also the horses make sure there are no rubs and rocks stuck in there.
In the engine compartment, there are quite a few things you need to check out everyday especially before you start the skid steer machine and these include an engine oil, water in the water separator, dust ejector and coolant level. And you there is sticker in the engine compartment which shows you every lubrication point you need to grease, the intervals to do it and give the location of the filters and how to service them.
Don’t start the machine if its not in good safety state, without a bobcat operator training license And if there is an issue with the machine you have to report to the supervisor for repair or replace the faulty part.
